There is some noise coming from City Hall about the abandoned TTC yards at Eglinton and Duplex (1 block west of Yonge). The site has been empty for 6 years and suddenly a competitive buzz has grown around this very expensive and strategic corner.
Do we really need another 40 story condominium apartment tower at Yonge and Eg. with all the attendant sewer, water, power demands? Several councillors have expressed fears that David Miller will take the low road and sell the property to the highest bidder.
Does anyone actually care? What ever happened to "Do the right thing"?
