Parks
There
are a number of parks scattered throughout Leaside. Some
are large and some are small but all are beautiful.
| The
first is Serena Gundy Park. Serena Gundy owned
this land and populated it with beautiful gardens. She
loved this area very much and was more than happy to
donate it to the city before she passed away on March
8, 1960. To this day many residents of Leaside and abroad
have come to enjoy this lovely park. People that were
close to Serena say she would have wanted this way.
Serena Gundy Park is located of Rykert Crescent
in North Leaside. If you are looking for a long bike
trail or "in the wood" hiking paths, than Serena Gundy
Park should be your number one choice. |
